Hey guys! Here’s a little video tutorial I made with Threadsence on how to mix dressy and casual pieces for a balanced look. I love combining the two to create an outfit that’s unique and fun. It’s time to utilize those fancy pieces we love more often!
I had a lot of fun hanging at the office and working with the Threadsence team – hope you guys enjoy the video. You can shop all these outfits at Threadsence!
Transitioning to fall can be a tricky thing – especially here in Southern California. We wake up to a chilly morning with an overcast sky and hit 90 degrees and the beating sun by afternoon. By evening time, you need a jacket! As ready as I am to bundle up in all things wool, I’m transitioning by wearing long sleeves with skirts.
This look in particular has a boyish feel with the oversized button-down but I matched it with an ultra-girly skater skirt. I love how combining the two can make them both so neutral. What do you guys think about this olive colored-skirt??!
Lastly, I want to share a little bit about this clutch! It’s the softest fur thing that I own and I love that it’s made in California. The brand is called Vaalbara and they are based in Venice. It’s one of those pieces that mean more to you each time you wear it – their fabrics are from all over the world and the inside of the bags are made with recycled plastic. They hand make each product in Venice and each one is a little unique. Love sharing about brands that are ‘taking aim’ to do good!

These photos are from last Thursday when I went to three different events with my blogger buddy Taye. We started the night at an LA Fashion week show for the brand Stella Proseyn, headed to a Bella Dahl warehouse sale (with an open sushi bar!) and ended the night at a Bric’s event at the Four Seasons Hotel. I made out with some new clothes, a very nice suitcase and a full belly! I never used to enjoy events much until I met friends like Taye and other bloggers that I now get to see sometimes a few times a week. There was always free food, drinks, usually gifts… but I really have loved getting involved in the fashion and blogging industry here in LA because there’s so many people out there and I love knowing people that are taking aim and pursuing something they love.
This top from In My Air has SUCH a cool shape. I think my favorite thing about this outfit is how baggy and almost masculine it feels BUT there’s little bows on the backs of my heels. They are my unexpected frills…
Still wearing my forever favorite jewelry from Amarilo – check out the bracelet in her shop…. she named it after me : ))
