3 Things To Look For In A Spring Jacket

I think we can all agree that we’re ready for the summer wardrobe to come out. Okay yes, I’m completely spoiled to live in such an amazingly sunny place, but we did just have some very rainy and chilly days here in LA. With Spring officially here, it can be freezing in the morning, hot in the afternoon, and back to cold at night. But how can you be comfortably warm and springy at the same time without a parka in the morning and a tank top in the day? Spring jackets is the best of both worlds! They’re such an easy way to add some color and patterns to a jeans and a tee look, and I love bringing out the pretty colors this season. Here are three things to look for when shopping for your new spring jackets :)

Spring Palette

I love my cozy coats and jackets for winter, but all those dark and neutral colors can be put to the back of the closet. It’s time for pastels and florals! I love the pastel trends I saw at NYFW, and how you can put together monochrome outfits from these palettes. This is where my girly side comes out, and I just want all the blush pinks and light blues.

Finding A Good Deal

Spring means good sales! Especially during Easter, you can find some awesome deals (look out for a post next week on this). Nordstrom and Neiman Marcus have a lot of my favorite brands for outerwear, and their spring sales up until Easter are so good. There’s nothing better than finding that perfect piece and realizing it’s on sale :)

Layering

Since spring weather can be super random, you want something that layers well and kind of works for warm or cold. The right thickness and weight is important for spring jackets, since you don’t want something too heavy for the middle of the day. Even finding a thin enough jacket to tie around your waist is a cute mid-day look, and then you can swing it back on at night.
