I’ve been wearing a ton of red lately, and I’ve decided it’s a completely underrated color for fall. I love that there are so many different shades and ways to wear red and they all say different things. So, here are 4 ways to wear autumn reds:

STATEMENT REDS
One of the most fun ways to wear red is to wear it loud and proud. Bright, apple reds are usually not as difficult to pull off as you might think, and while they scream for attention, they don’t have to be ‘too much.’ I love bright reds worn in unexpected ways that look effortless, despite the huge statement they make.

MUTED REDS
Muted reds are especialy perfect for fall. They are soft and beautiful and don’t necessarily have to be the focal point of your look. And for some reason, wearing deep reds always makes me want to curl up with a cup of tea and a book and hope for a rainy day.

RED PATTERN
One of the easiest ways to wear red is in a cute pattern like stripes or florals. I really like how it pairs with different shades of blue for fall, but it also can look great with neutrals or other warm tones. The key to keeping it safe-for-all-looks is to look for subtle patterns, or else you’re creeping your way back into Statement Reds.

RED ACCESSORIES
Ok I take it back, this is the easiest way to wear red. A pop of color in your shoes, bag, hankie, hat, or even jewelry can be just the right final touch to make your outfit interesting. I feel like red accessories tend to make you look really confident without distracting from your overall outfit too much.
