Alchemy Works

Hello from Canada! I spontaneously jumped on a plane to help out at a LOVE NAIL TREE show here in Toronto and have been spending all day, every day, hanging at our booth selling tees. It’s been a long time since I’ve done a festival for our business and I’ve been enjoying hearing how much everyone is loving the line. The down side is that I’ve been indoors and without much time to actually explore the city.  I’m here with my younger brother and we’re hitting the road to drive back to LA tomorrow night.  I’m excited to drive through a bunch of states and see some beautiful landscapes along the way.  There’s just something about road trips…

These are pictures I took last week while visiting a very cool store in the Arts District of Downtown LA called Alchemy Works. It’s no longer (nor was it ever) coat season in LA but every once in a while it gets breezy enough to justify an outerwear. I love the look when a coat reaches beyond the bottoms – it’s an instant city vibe that takes your outfit to the next level. Bella Luxx is still on the top of my list for basics and I just recently discovered how soft and stretchy James Jeans fabric is. By far, one of the most comfortable pairs of denim shorts I’ve ever worn.

Alchemy Works carries some great designers – some well known and some local. Within the perfectly decorated store, there’s Blacktop Coffee and a Warby Parker pop-up.  I just love the space – definitely something to visit if you’re in the area.
