Beauty Routine

I don’t claim to be an expert of any kind when it comes to cosmetics, but I have found some items that love to use… I wanted to share a little bit of my routine with you guys, in case you’re in the market to try something new!  I know for myself, I love to change brands and have variety- so this is just simply what I love right now.

I like to use glass jars and shelves to store my products- I used to just throw everything in a makeup bag but it ended up ruining my brushes and really this is prettier to look at anyway : )

Finding a good skincare line will make your skin radiant – something that makeup can’t always accomplish.  I love Fresh.  It’s not the most affordable line but I was lucky enough to get it as a gift from my mom : ) Their Black Tea products are my favorite.  Other skincare lines that I’ve used and really like: Murad, Boscia, Bobbie Brown, Korres, and Aveda.

A few brands that are getting a lot of hype that I plan to try soon: Clarins and L’occitane

Not makeup related, but my hair has never been as smooth as when I started using this Pureology leave-in conditioner and their shampoo.  Love, love it!

Before foundation I use the Estēe Lauder Even Skintone Illuminator for a glow, and Smashbox Hydrating Primer to help my makeup stay on longer.

My favorite foundations and concealers:

Foundation: Chanel Perfection Lumiēre (very sheer)

Concealers: Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer + Bobblie Brown Touch Up Stick

Under Eye Concealer: Bobbie Brown

Bronzer: Nars

Blush: Bobbie Brown

Eyeliner: Smashbox

Mascara: Trish McEvoy

One of my biggest mascara revelations was this Trish McEvoy Warm Water Removal. I have a hard time keeping brightness under my eyes and always felt like my mascara left black under them.  It kind of always made me feel like a zombie! BUT warm water removal mascara peels off in “tubes”- never smudging under your eyes.  If you struggle with dark circles under your eyes, this could be a game changer! Clinique also makes a more affordable one that I really like.

Nars Satin Lip pencils go on so smooth and last a long time.  It’s kind of a mix between Chapstick and lipstick. I like to lightly fill in my eyebrows with a brush and  shadow. I love a bold, dramatic eyebrow.  Wish mine were thicker!
