It’s Monday, and this weekend really got me thinking about how important it is to have time off to rest before starting the week again. I love using my Sundays as total days off to hang with family and friends and catch up on personal tasks (not always possible, but really refreshing when I can!). Yesterday was an exception because I spent the day hosting a takeover of the Popsugar Snapchat sharing 7 Tips for becoming a morning person. I love mornings and being productive so it was fun to share my routine through short snapchat videos.
But speaking of weekends, it’s nice to have a few go-to looks that are fashion forward but still easy to throw on when you’re in the mood to relax for the weekend and be comfortable. I have been loving the monochrome trend and knew when I saw this top and sweater at Vince that I wanted to wear them together.
My favorite color for the monochrome trend is this fall reddish orange. It’s really flattering for skin tone, especially with all of the muted, desaturated colors that are popular in fall. I love the way the warmth of this orange brings out a warm color in my skin, while still feeling muted and autumn-y.
I think for fall, one of the easiest ways to pull of the monochrome trend is just like this – with a shirt and a sweater, but it’s also really cute with a slip dress and a turtleneck or even a two piece set. I’ve also seen it worn with two layers where one is slightly lighter or darker than the other. Basically, there are so many options for the monochrome look, and they’re all really easy.
Here’s a few fashionable ladies that I’ve spotted wearing cute monochrome looks:

Plus, I didn’t plan this, but even my nails and lips were matching!
