A couple of months ago, Tyler and I made our way up to the beautiful city of San Francisco for a photoshoot with Levi’s. I love when we can work on projects as a couple so I was excited when they asked us to model together for their holiday Instagram content. Here we are now on Christmas Eve and I can’t believe how quickly the time has passed.
During the holidays, Tyler and I get to spend lots of time with our families, and it’s really fun to have as many traditions as we do with them. On Christmas Eve we get both of our families together and go out to dinner at one of our favorites, Benihanas. Remember Chris Farley in Beverly Hills Ninja? It’s kind of a funny tradition but when I lived in Texas during elementary school, my family didn’t have any extended family near enough to celebrate Christmas Eve with and Benihanas is where we ended up. I can’t tell you how much I love that we continue to go.
On Christmas morning, Tyler and I spend some special time together as our own little family (with our furry baby, Austin) before heading out to his parents’s for a late-morning, British-inspired, lunch (his mom is from Wales.) Then by late-afternoon and into the evening we spend time with my family enjoying an Italian-inspired meal, typically of seafood and pasta (my mom is Italian.) One of my favorite parts is getting to spend time with my little nieces and nephews!
Christmas is a great time for family and sharing in traditions, but for me and Tyler it’s also and extension of what we believe every day. We love how the season is filled with the spirit of giving, the warm feeling of sharing, and also a special time of remembrance and our faith.
Here’s to a special day with our loved ones. Happy Holidays!
