Holiday Makeup Tutorial

I’ve been wanting to share a fun holiday makeup look with you guys, and here it is! I don’t typically wear a lot of glitter and like my makeup to be on the natural side, BUT the holidays are the best time to experiment with some fun things you wouldn’t try otherwise. I got the Too Faced “Pretty Rich” palette and was so in love with all the glittery colors. This is still a more subtle “holiday glam” look – which I love! Hope you guys enjoy.

P.S. – if you try it out, send me a DM on Instagram and I’ll post some favorites to my story! Xx

Step 1

Use Too Faced’s “Pretty Rich” palette for the eye makeup look. Use your finger to put the ‘Diamonds & Breakfast’ glitter color all over your eyelid.

Step 2

Add a secondary color to lid. I used a matte brown color called,  ‘It’s Cashmere.’ Using a crease brush, sweep the color from the lash line into the crease of the eyelid, making a half-circle shape. Make sure to blend thoroughly and then blend some more :)

Step 3

Use a flat tapered brush and apply the same neutral color along your lower lash line, as a smokey eyeliner. Sweeping the brush below the bottom lashes out to the corner of the eye creates a subtle liner that brings definition to your eye shape. Apply your mascara! I am using Roller Lash by Benefit for a thick and bold lash look.

Step 4

Time to add a little color to our cheeks! I used the NARS holiday palette called “Hot Tryst”. I mixed both the bright pink and the lighter shade on my brush and gently applied the color on the apples of my cheeks. A little goes a long way with this bold cheek color, so less is more.

Step 5

Apply your highlighter. I used Too Faced’s ‘Fancy Diamond’ highlighter. It came with a cute brush that I used to apply to the high points of my cheek bones, and then the very tip of my nose and right on the top of my lip (cupid’s bow). It is such a nice subtle way to add a glowy affect to your face. If you’ve been wanting to try a highlighter, I suggest this one! It’s super pretty on!

Step 6

To complete the look, I finished with a bold red lip. I lined my lips using Laura Mercier’s lip liner in the color “Ruby.” I went for a berry color, instead of a traditional red lip. After lining my lip, I added the NARS Powermatte Lip Luster called “Pierce” to fill in the color on my lips.

That wraps up my Holiday makeup look! I will be posting more makeup tutorials like these, so make sure you are subscribed to my Youtube channel! Also, let me know any other requests you guys might have in the comments below! Xx
