My first Milan Fashion Week was a great experience! I’m actually Italian (my mom’s side), so it was fun to visit the place of my roots! We saw so many fun things, but I think my favorite was the Duomo Cathedral. It’s such a pretty area with high end designer stores (can never have too much Gucci), and loads of people exploring. There are birds everywhere so if you do get bird food you can have so many of these birds surrounding you for a fun photo. There’s a lot going on, but it’s all in front of the gorgeous cathedral, so the views are amazing. We also got dinner one night at a restaurant that overlooked the whole area, which was one of my highlights!
The food was also amazing – Every corner of Milan has some place where you can get bread, croissants and coffee, and the gelato stops are literally everwhereand I had gelato just about every day. I went to a really cute cafe called Vanilla Bakery with Leonie (@ohhcouture) and we ate lots of sweets. The decor was all pink and very cute.
My favorite show was the Tods show which was really cool. They have a lot of interesting twists on more simple styles, and so much beautiful leather (fitting for Italy…). I wore one of their brown leather bags to the show, and I loved the details on it.
Now I’m in Paris for the final leg of this trip. Excited to see a lot of blogger friends this week that are here from LA and NY and other parts of the world. Paris is always my favorite and then it’s home sweet home for me!
