I’ve lived in LA my whole adult life, yet I had never been to Skyspace LA until just last week! It’s basically the number one view of the city from the top of the US Bank building (one of the tallest buildings in LA!). We went just before sunset for the amazing light, but they really made it a fun experience beyond that.
Everyone on staff was so friendly and seemed to love working there. We stopped on the 54th floor first where they had some cool, interactive displays — kind of like a mini museum. We stood inside a virtual reality-style time lapse of the view up top, and then wandered through some optical illusions and fun light displays. Then we got back in an elevator and went to floor 62, which was the lounge and the amazing view. (They also have slides that you can take partially down the outside of the building, but we ran out of time!)
I heart you los angeles!
Everything was soooo gorgeous. I always get a little emotional looking at the city from way up high. It feels like everything suddenly gets in perspective and I become so tiny in this vast city. I’ve said it a million times, but I feel so lucky to live in LA where I can be at the beach and in downtown within the same day, where there are creative opportunities everywhere, and where my dream to become a blogger really took off.
Have you guys ever been to an amazing view like this one? I’d love to hear your stories in the comments!
