Holidays are full in effect and I cannot wait! Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays because I get to spend it with my family and it’s easy to just get together and enjoy good food and good company.
Peter and I have been perfecting our Thanksgiving recipes, which you might have seen on my stories a couple of weeks ago. We decided to have a bread bake-off… which I think I won! Both recipes were very very good, BUT the banana bread was gone first so I think that’s the true teller! This banana bread recipe is something that my mom has been making for us since I was very young and the bread never lasts long! It’s a perfect thing to bring to a holiday party and you’ll be sure to get lots of compliments. The trick is to not bake it too long… always better when the bread is super moist. The pumpkin bread recipe is also really great because it calls for coconut oil and that’s the best ingredient for a very soft and moist bread.
I have been working on some looks for Thanksgiving day, that can be both comfortable and cute. I love this look here because I am wearing one of my favorite colors, which happens to be perfect for Autumn and Thanksgiving. A sheer black turtleneck with a blazer cinched at the waist with a black belt. If there are any two items that I have found to be essential this season, it’s this turtleneck and this belt. The add the perfect layering details and are very on trend right now. I have also been considering just wearing a cozy knit sweater because it allows the optimal Turkey Day consumption, ha! Check out my post last week from when I was in Austin, where I am wearing one of fave sweaters! :)
Also! Don’t forget to enter my Instagram giveaway on these super cool Roberi and Fraud sunglasses! I will be selecting someone to receive these sunnies on Thursday, so make sure you get your name in!
Here are some pieces that I think would be perfect for any Thanksgiving gathering. What are your plans for the holidays this year?
