The Benefits Of Oatmeal

While growing up we were taught that eating oatmeal is good for us, and as many of us have gotten older we’ve learned about its health benefits for the mind and the heart. As an adult, it’s become one of the most satisfying breakfasts I make. With a little honey and some berries it’s such a good way to start the day!

What I wasn’t necessarily taught growing up, though, was about how oatmeal contains nutrients for healthy skin too. Recently, I came across this body scrub from St. Ives. What initially struck me about it was that the formula was all-natural, paraben-free, and actually affordable (only $4.99!)

I’ve been using the scrub in the shower and my first impression of it was how gentle it was. Ever used a body scrub that was so coarse it felt like sandpaper? Not this stuff. They’ve figured out a way to restore and exfoliate skin to its natural softness without the rough process.  The lotion smells great and hydrates – I’m excited to double up on the benefits of oatmeal by also including it in my skin regimen.
