I came across the coolest company a few months ago – The Citizenry. As I stumbled across their website, I was enamored with beautiful leather chairs, wool blankets, wooden planters…. the list goes on. I could tell there was was a lot of thought and intention put into the brand and as I read their story I knew I wanted to share it.
The Citizenry is a modern home decor brand that is globally-inspired. This means that each collection is designed and handcrafted in a specific country using their local materials. In doing this, The Citizenry’s hope is to bring beautifully crafted pieces that carry a story into our homes. I love that.
From Argentinian leather chairs, Peruvian weaved blankets and the hand-carved wooden planters from Uganda… I want it all! I’m excited to share these Lava Trays from their most recent Mexico collection. I love the modern design of the trays and how the entire tray is made of volcanic rock, but half is polished and the other half is left raw – both so beautiful. The Adalma Side Table is also from the Mexico collection and a cool detail in my home.
Every piece is hand-numbered and made in limited quantities. Should I keep going? So many notable things and that’s why The Citizenry is over-qualified for the AIM section of my site. They are sustainable, thoughtful and beautifully designed. Below you’ll find a few more of my favorites that I hope end up in my home soon!
