When To Wear A Lace Bodysuit

Bodysuits are all over this fall, and I especially love the lace ones.  I had the perfect opportunity to wear a lace bodysuit the other day when I was out getting my hair done at the Goddard Braggs salon in West Hollywood. It got me thinking that it’s not every day you can pull off the bodysuit look — it has to be just the right occasion (ps my hair smelled ah-maz-ing afterward). So if you, too, are trying to figure out when to wear a lace bodysuit, here’s what I think:

1. Evening events: Evening events tend to have more formal vibes, and with a bodysuit, it has to be OK to look a little more dressed up. The combination of lace and the tight-fitting fabric make for a semi-formal look, even if the rest of your outfit is somewhat casual.

2. Paired with a high waist: It’s really easy to find cute high-waisted looks these days, and I think that’s the best way to pair a bodysuit. Skirts are always as good go-to, but high-waisted pants could work too!

3. When your shoes are super classy: Bodysuits have a bad rep for only working with super sexy and revealing outfits, but I totally disagree! Bodysuits, even lace ones, can be really classy if you accessorize right.

I love that lace can be really feminine or surprisingly edgy these days, so I went in-between with darker colors and basic accessories. I also loved the high-neck and suede skirt to make everything feel a little more fall! It was so nice to not have to worry about keeping my top tucked in just right all evening, and it fit me really well, so everything was comfortable.
